The new Wahoo Speedplay pedals, a distilled selection and fresh aesthetics

New offering

In 2019, trainer and electronics brand Wahoo Fitness acquired the venerated Speedplay pedals, in a move to broaden their offering.

After 2 years of mostly radio silence, Wahoo have now released the new Wahoo Speedplay pedal lineup, which features a distilled selection and fresh aesthetics. This is definitely a crowd pleaser, as Speedplay pedals have garnered a faithful following since their inception in 1991.

While the pedals themselves have remained mostly the same, the lineup is condensed into 4 models to better satisfy different price points and customer bases. Here is a comprehensive overview of the updated lineup.

For those unfamiliar with Speedplay pedals, they are quite unique as they are the only road pedals on the market to offer dual sided entry. The actual clipping mechanism is located in the cleat itself, which means the pedals are among the lightest available. And to top things off, both inner and outer floats are independently micro adjustable for a custom fit.
