Not unlike the products first brought by Stages, Pionner now offers a single-leg power meter which doubles your left leg’s power to give you an estimate of your total power. These crank arm power meters are very popular because they offer an affordable alternative to regular crank based power meters without any major drawbacks.
At only 22g, there’s not much of a weight penalty and the easy installation means you can swap between bikes easily.
The SGY-LT90 is ANT+ which means you can use it with many different cycling computers, including Garmin computers. You can also use the Pionner head sold separately to have access to features like the 12-point force and force direction measurement and the real time monitoring of force vectors and pedaling efficiency.
The Pioneer SGY-LT90 power meter is a very interesting product because it offers data in a very lightweight package. It really is a good product to consider if you’re looking for a single leg power meter.
