Bontrager Edge 1030 GPS is their take on Garmin Edge 1030. So what more does it do? The optimized experience includes screen sensitivity to high, auto-pause enabled and auto-lap disabled. The light control offers touch screen light control and on-screen battery status of paired lights. The auto-on light control automatically powers on paired lights and sets them to the best mode at the start of the ride. Plus, it features a unique black colorway that provides a classy finish that complements any bike.
It also offers the same great features as the Garmin Edge 130, such as popular routings, advanced navigation, messages, smart connectivity, shimano steps, and more. It gives you a big colored touchscreen, Smart connectivity with your phone, GPS maps, training data and integration with Strava. Obviously, being a Garmin Edge, it can be paired with any ANT+ device, like a heartrate strap, speed and cadence sensors, power meters and more. The new Edge 1030 has a bigger screen than the Edge 1000, more battery time, up from 15 hours to 20 hours. There's even an auxiliary battery pack sold separately to give you up to 40 hours of run time on a single charge.
The Edge 1030 syncs with your phone so you get text alerts and income calls notifications. It also allows for the GPS live tracker, so that people know where you are in real time. You can upload your training data through your phone, instead of having to sit at the computer to wire it up. Whether you want to train or travel, the new Edge 1030 does it all with up to date connectivity and integration.
