Trek Checkpoint is a gravel bike ready for all-road adventures off the beaten paths. This ALR 5 version comes with a solid and light 300 series aluminium frame and Shimano GRX components. If you need a bike that can ride anywhere, full a clever features and performance, this is it.
The ALR 5 comes with 700x40 tires, but the frame can fit tires from 28 to 45, for maximum versatility. It's wide Gravel tires offer better traction and stability and the Tubeless Ready wheels allow you to have the pressure you want in your tires. Hydraulic disc brakes offer great and effortless braking performance. In addition, its Flat Mount hydraulic disc brakes are smaller and lighter and offer better braking power.
The Stranglehold dropouts allow you to adjust the geometry to the style of riding your prefer. You could also mount this bike in a single-speed setup thanks to this system. An 11-speed Shimano GRX drivetrain with wide-range 11-34 cassette offers great climb performance at an affordable price.
The Checkpoint also comes with mounts for everything everywhere, meaning you can place bottles in a number of different places, and put racks or fenders with ease.
