An incredible value offroad clipless pedal from Shimano. The M520 pedal features adjustable in/out release tension and includes a set of SH51 SPD cleats with 4 degrees of float. While they only weigh slightly more than the higher-end XT and XTR pedals from Shimano, they boast all of the same features and the same high-grade performance at a fraction of the price. These pedals will serve you well and wont break the bank. Dual sided mechanism lets you easily clip in with a simple step, without looking down at your shoes.

  • Open design pedal in economical price
  • The open binding mechanism is designed to better shed mud
  • Low maintenance sealed bearing cartridge axle

Customer Reviews

Good all around pedals
Review by Jonathan

These pedals have been around forever, and for good reason. They're cheap, reliable, and work well. For off road, I find they shed mud really well. Even if they get full of debris, they still work flawlessly. They are also very easy to clean with a hose or some water.

They can be adjusted to 10 different settings with an allen key. I started out on the lowest one, but now I ride usually on the 7th setting. They are very easy to clip and unclip, and I've actually never fallen because of them. I've crashed a few times, and my feet have always unclipped from the pedals, so I wouldn't worry about your feet getting caught on the pedals if you happen to wipe out.

I can't really ask for anything more with these. They are simple and work well. I've been riding with them for 3 years now with no issues. 5 stars.
