Bike Lights and Mirrors

Discover our selection of bike lights specifically designed to ensure your bike safety. Whether for any type of bike, your bicycle must be equipped with a front light as well as a rear light. If you share the road with motorists, a rearview mirror allows you to keep an eye on passing vehicles at all times. Explore our wide range of bike lights and mirrors from the best industry brands such as Bontrager, NiteRider, Giant, Knog, and more!

Why Install Lights on Your Bike?

Bike lights allow you to be visible both day and night. Some models feature a daytime-visible flashing mode, which is particularly essential for road cyclists. The more visible a light is, the better it signals your presence to motorists, enabling them to react more quickly.

The Rear Light

Usually, the rear light is installed on the seat post, saddlebag, rear rack, mudguard, or rear brake. According to the Quebec Highway Safety Code, if you're cycling at night, you must use a red rear light. For more information, please consult the Quebec Highway Safety Code.

The Front Light

The front light signals your presence in low-light conditions. For effective urban lighting, a light requires 500 to 700 lumens. A lower intensity is adequate if your goal is simply to be visible. For mountain or fat bike rides, to have excellent trail visibility, a light of at least 1000 to 1200 lumens is recommended. Front lights are generally installed on the handlebar, helmet mounts, and integrated cyclometer mounts.

What is the Purpose of a Rearview Mirror?

Despite numerous awareness campaigns, sharing the road with motorists remains risky. Mirrors help avoid collisions with distracted drivers. Using rearview mirrors, you can always check and anticipate the movements of vehicles behind you for better road safety. Finally, competitive cyclists can focus on the road without twisting to identify opponents using mirrors. Attention! The rearview mirror does not replace a second check, and you must still check your blind spot.
